Note: Round red and yellow polarity
To manufacture the highest quality yellow and red LEDs we produce them using reverse polarity chips. This is a little different than most manufactures but it’s necessary to make the best product. The flat spot on the LED will be on the anode(+) and not cathode(-) side. We’ve cut the legs of the LEDs to correctly show the electrical polarity.
Flat Spot - Anode Side(+), Indicates physical direction of LED chip.
Lead lengths - Anode(+)=long, cathode(-)=short, indicates correct electrical polarity.
*On some early batches of LEDs the legs were cut so that the anode leg was short and cathode long. This will be identified clearly in the packaging for these batches. These are no long produced and we now cut the legs to show correct electrical polarity.
